Our vision is to equip African women with the tools to passionately pursue their dreams, cultivate their skills, and emerge as influential leaders in their respective fields, through mentorship. We aim to be the foremost mentorship program for African women, setting the standard for empowerment & success across the continent.
We are on a mission to empower African women through comprehensive mentorship and the cultivation of a supportive, thriving community. We aim to guide African women on their journey to success, providing the resources and connections they need to achieve their goals & lead with confidence.
Our story
Inspire Her Afrika was founded with the goal of providing mentorship to young women across Africa. As the organization evolved, we have now seen the need to expand our services to include not just mentorship but holistic support for women’s personal and professional growth, hence the name change to Inspiring Women Support and Development Initiative allows us to reflect this broader mission while keeping Inspire Her Afrika as our “household name.”
Our motivation
According to a report by the African Development Bank, only 30% of women in Africa have access to formal or informal mentorship programs. Additionally, a study by the Center for Talent Innovation found that while 62% of African women aspire to reach top leadership positions, only 16% believe they have access to the mentorship they need to acheive these goals.
These findings highlight the critical need to close the mentorship gap and provide them with the guidence and support they need to realize their full potential. Inspire Her Afrika aims to bridge this gap among African women, Join us and fix these problem.
